The Unbreakable WARRIOR Project
I seek to discover how persons with Sickle Cell live lives of triumph over tragedy. I will also explore how a person with a chronic medical condition obtains success both personally and professionally, while living most days in pain. I want to present to the world what raw strength and grit look like through the lens of my camera.
So often, the world that knows of this invisible illness is only aware of the tragic side of a Warrior’s struggles. It is my mission to show that through the pain and physical illness; many Warriors persevere to live wholly fulfilled personal and professional lives. As the population living with this disease ages, there is a beauty that can be discovered within their stories.

This project gives me such joy! It is a gift to use my skill of storytelling and the art of my photography to share not only my story as a Warrior, but to cast a spotlight on the many faces that make up Sickle Cell Disease.
